By order of the Provincial Health Officer (PHO), all participants must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 (two doses + 14 days) and provide their proof of vaccination along with photo ID to access recreation facilities.

Join us for Tennis Instructional - a skills class for those new to the game of tennis, or looking to improve on basic skills.
Choose to play on Wednesdays or Fridays this Winter!
You will learn the five most important tennis strokes: forehand, backhand, serve, volley, and overhead. You will also learn the basic rules and scoring for tennis so you can play games right away. And you’ll have fun in a dynamic group environment.

Note: Participants must bring their own tennis racquet.

Unique to HSSC, our Pickleball program will include weekly skill building sessions as well as open play. Choose to play on Wednesday or Friday nights this Winter.
This combination of programming will bring you up to speed and ready to compete with your friends or co-workers already enjoying the sport.
There will be the opportunity to play against those of similar skill level as well as mixing in with other players throughout the evening.

Get your feet wet with the world's fastest growing water sport - Stand Up Paddling (SUP)!
This class is ideal for those interested in experiencing more with this super fun sport. Through the 4-week session we cover how to balance and paddle efficiently, learn different types of strokes and freestyle moves all on calm sheltered waters. We have partnered with SUP Yoga Halifax to bring you this unique program.
The coast of Nova Scotia has beautiful scenery which you will be able to explore while on the water (not to mention taking advantage of some fantastic selfie opportunities)!
Note: Participants are encouraged to bring their own Personal Floating Device (life jacket).

Looking to take your SUP skills to the next level? Curious to experience new adventures but not quite sure where to start? This group class combines the opportunity to explore new locations in Head of St. Margaret's Bay while perfecting your current paddling skills. We'll cover best practices for SUP touring, endurance paddling, and ocean safety and awareness.
Previous SUP experience is required.
