HSSC hosts dodgeball leagues with various options throughout the week! No experience necessary – just a great attitude, and brownie points for a great team name!

ALL ABOUT HSSC dodgeball

HSSC offers dodgeball weekly on Mondays and Wednesdays this season and offers two skill levels.

For our recreational league there is no experience necessary as most people have never touched a dodgeball since childhood. For our intermediate league teams should come ready to dodge, throw, duck and run. Top priority in either league are fun games.

HSSC dodgeball is played 6-on-6 using two 8.5″ foam dodgeballs per side. Playground rules are adjusted for our more-regulated version of the game.

HIGHLIGHTS + LeAGUE DETAILS

Play Dodgeball on Mondays and Wednesdays
Dodgeball games are 55-minutes with rotating start times
Dodgeball is played in gyms across Halifax and Dartmouth. Some of our main gyms are (but not limited to) Armbrae Academy, Shambhala School and Chebucto Heights Elementary School
The fall dodgeball season runs from mid-September to Mid-December
Rosters & Schedules will be available to registered players at least two days prior to your first game
Sign up to play as a team, an individual or an individual with teammate request

Skill Division & Roster

Recreational and Intermediate leagues offered
Individual teams will be assembled by HSSC and provided with 2 dodgeballs for the season
All leagues are mixed gender and teams must always play with a minimum of 2 men and 2 women on the court.

All teams are required to bring equipment: 2 8.5″ foam dodgeballs (available to rent with HSSC)
