ALL ABOUT HSSC floor hockey

This high spirit and zero-contact league gives you an outlet to play hockey without the high cost of ice! If you’re looking for a truly awesome cardio experience this season with a focus on fun, then our leagues are for you!

Games are played with official-size plastic hockey sticks and everyone’s favourite orange ball. Where possible, teams are split into divisions with other teams with alike calibre. Fun games are always the top priority!

HIGHLIGHTS + LeAGUE DETAILS

Play Floor Hockey on Thursdays
Floor Hockey 5s is played with 4 players + a goalie.
Floor Hockey games are 55-minutes with rotating start times
Floor Hockey is played in gyms across Dartmouth and Halifax. Some of our main gyms are (but are not limited to) Spryfield Lions and Recreational Centre, Needham Community Centre and East Dartmouth Community Centre.
Rosters & Schedules will be available to registered players at least two days prior to your first game
Register as a team, an individual or an individual with teammate requests

Skill Division & Roster

Recreational and Intermediate leagues available
HSSC will assemble individual teams and you will be encouraged to connect with your teammates via your team portal prior to your first game.
All leagues are mixed gender and teams can play with a maximum of 2 people of any gender on the court. The goaltender position is gender neutral.

All equipment is provided on site. Teams and players can bring their own equipment, but need to check all the requirements first.
